Meet Shannon
Hi, I’m Shannon - the person behind Near the Noise.
I started Near the Noise in January 2026 after spending a few months becoming increasingly invested in the local music scene. I was going to more gigs, discovering artists I might never have come across otherwise and finding myself wanting to do something to support the people making such exciting music across Ireland.
Near the Noise began as a way to share that excitement with other people. I wanted to create a space where emerging artists could be discovered and celebrated - while encouraging people to get out, go to gigs and find their next favourite artist.
I handle everything behind the scenes - from admin and bookings to writing reviews, organising events and running the website and social media.
Meet Taylor
Taylor is my best friend and the honorary other half of Near The Noise.
She’s almost always there alongside me at gigs and helps out majorly with filming our On Record sessions between Dublin and Bangor.
She’s the friendly face that keeps everything feeling more relaxed and most importantly, keeps all of our artists feeling good while I get things organised.
