I’m Shannon, the founder and writer behind Near the Noise.

I’ve always loved music, but over the past year I’ve been making a conscious effort to get more involved in the Irish scene - going to more gigs, discovering local artists, and paying attention to what’s happening beyond the bigger stages.

Near the Noise is my way of documenting all of it. I can’t wait to highlight new artists and share the moments that make a gig feel special.

The photography on Near the Noise is by Taylor - my best friend who may have been very slightly recruited against her will.

What started as me dragging her along to gigs turned into her becoming a huge part of the blog. I genuinely love her photos and I feel really lucky to get to build this with her.

Her work gives the blog its visual identity and brings the live music experience to life.
